Over 45 people gathered at the Worcester Youth Center on Saturday, October 4, 2014 to move the Solidarity And Green Economy organizing forward in Worcester. The main proposed projects were as follows:
1. Launching a campaign to pressure major institutions like hospitals and universities to grow co-ops and local food initiatives by purchasing locally, and engaging the City to make this happen.
2. Doing eduction, outreach and co-operative business organizing with youth organizations and students.
3. Create/compile a community-led directory and literature set about SAGE related projects. Another idea from this group was to re-appropriate foreclosed buildings for community and co-op uses.
